A set of two mills made from rubberwood with a glossy finish — elegant enough to leave out on the counter or table. Each has a ceramic grinder set in an aluminum mechanism, with a knob that adjusts the grind from fine to coarse: turn it clockwise for a finer grind (good for sauces and dressings), or set it coarser for meats and vegetables. The ceramic grinder resists corrosion and the mechanism is guaranteed for life. At 22 cm tall, each mill holds plenty of peppercorns or salt and gives a confident grip; filling is spill-free, and they wipe clean with a damp cloth. Keep one for whole peppercorns and one for coarse sea salt.
